Martha Romero Villaseñor is the office manager for Schneider Publishing. She will be celebrating her 12th anniversary with the company in January.

A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Martha holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business. In addition to a variety of daily operational responsibilities at Schneider Publishing, Martha serves as the conference registrar for the annual TEAMS Conference & Expo.

Hagit Worona is the Art Director for Schneider Publishing. Hagit joined the company in October 2006 and brings a wide range of creative talents to our staff.

Sarah graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Professional Writing for Business Communication. Sarah served as a marketing and public relations specialist for an internet marketing company and for the Santa Barbara chapter of the Association for Women in Communication.

Carla Guzzetti is the new advertising sales manager for Association News in charge of our client relationships in all of the states west of the Mississippi River.

Carla graduated with honors from the University of San Francisco and holds a degree in Communication Studies. She served on the staff of the magazine published by the San Francisco-based California Academy of Family Physicians and has extensive experience in newspaper advertising sales, having worked for Village Voice Media and Gatehouse Media. Most recently, she served as the West Coast account manager for Global Traveler Magazine. Carla enjoys cooking, baseball and travel and sang opera as a child.

Rita Burris, the client services manager for SportsTravel and the TEAMS Conference, will celebrate her fifth anniversary with our company this year.

Rita is a 24-year veteran of the trade-show industry and, prior to joining Schneider Publishing, was a partner in a company that produced conferences and exhibitions in major U.S. cities as well as Mexico, Japan and Germany.

Rita’s work with our company involves handling both the planning for our annual TEAMS Conference and the successful execution of major sponsor programs. On-site at TEAMS, she serves as the assistant show manager. Rita lives in Marina del Rey and is an avid sailor as well as a devoted grandmother. Jason Gewirtz will begin working on May 19th as the managing editor of SportsTravel.

A 13-year veteran of daily journalism, Jason worked the past eight years for the Long Beach Press-Telegram, where he started as a staff writer and was promoted to the position of city and business editor. He spent the last two years as the executive editor in charge of city and business coverage for the Press-Telegram.

Jason graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has won numerous awards as both a writer and editor.

By combining his love of writing and editing with his passion for sports, Jason will help us continue to increase the depth and breadth of the editorial content of SportsTravel.

Paul Winston is the Event Organizer Liaison for the TEAMS Conference & Expo and, as such, he’s responsible for building our company’s relationships with the event rights holders who participate in the pre-scheduled appointment sessions at TEAMS.

Paul is an event-industry professional who has handled TEAMS-related projects for our company since 2000. His extensive sports-event experience includes three years as the stadium and operations manager for the Dallas Cup international soccer tournament and work on major events including the Super Bowl, the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Andy Lamedman joined our company’s Los Angeles headquarters staff in 2005.

As general manager, Andy oversees our company’s sales and marketing efforts, the human resources and administrative departments, and is involved in the company’s strategic planning and business development.

Andy is a career professional in the publishing industry, having worked for 16 years with Fancy Publications, where he started as a regional sales manager and eventually oversaw all of that company’s sales and marketing efforts. Prior to joining Schneider Publishing, Andy served as the president & CEO of the Advanced Publishing Group, publishers of Premier Bride magazine.
